In the spring of 2021, the story of the shrimp tails found in a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the brand's bizarre response, took the internet by storm. It quickly became my new favorite PR crisis, so I wanted to challenge myself to figure out how a brand might come back from something like this.
I developed an interactive poster that pairs a light joke about the fiasco with a promise of accountability and honesty. This message owns up to the problem, but proves the brand is moving forward. With the Artivive app, viewers can scan the poster and look inside the box to confirm that there are, in fact, no more shrimp.
